International Quilt Show - Chicago

I'm going to the International Quilt Show today, can't wait. I've gone the past two years, beautiful quilts to look at and COOL stuff to purchase from the vendors. Art Girlz being one of my favorites. Can't wait to see what they have this year.

The Cloth Paper Scissors and Quilting Arts booths are always full of WONDERFUL things. I know most items can be purchased online, but it is fun to touch things before you buy.

I'll check in when I get home to show my purchase and post my highlights from the show.

Crazy Quilting Hearts

Latest project, Crazy Quilting Hearts! Lots of fun and amazing what you can come up with in a 6 1/2" heart shape.

I am working 6 of these hearts for a swap. Would love to do 12, but with the deadline of June 1st, will probably only finish 6.

Happy Stitching.

Crazy Quilting Wiki!!!

My latest work in progress. Several months ago I started a pb wiki: crazyquilting.pbwiki.com. I started it as a way to learn new technology for my day job.

I finally found a reason to make the crazyquilting.pbwiki.com functional. I am participating in the HGTV Board CQ Lesson and Challenge group. This group is teaching each other Crazy Quilting techniques.

Great group of people sharing ideas. There are over 100 participants from all over the world and it was getting difficult to keep all the lessons/information organized in one place where everyone in the group could access it at any time. The light bulb turned on....pbwiki!!!! With the permission of the HGTV CQ Lessons and Challenge Group I am posting the lessons and information on www.crazyquilting.pbwiki.com

"Crazy" Stitching to all!!!

ClothPaperScissors Challenge

In September the Editor of Cloth Paper Scissors posted a challenge on her blog. I responded and was one of the lucky people to receive a package of "scraps" in the mail. The challenge was to use the scraps to create something: a small quilt, ATC cards, collage piece etc.

I decided to create a small "Crazy Quilt". I am new to crazy quilting but really like it. I is a good way to get my "stitching and collage" habit FIX.

The scrap package had great fall colors in it. I chose Autumn as my theme and a quote from Emily Dickinson.

The crazy quite is approximately 14" x 14". Need to figure out how I'm going to display it. I have an idea, hopefully it will work.

Crazy Quilting, always looking for inspiration, please post links to your work.

Paper Crafting

Created a great looking "gift" box, altered a pattern so that the box was the right size for a "gift card". I will add more to this blog when I get home...including a photo.

If you are into paper crafting share some ideas
